Abstract
- British Parking Assn. director general John Heasman maintains that few car park operators are making vast sums of money but Apcoa, the second largest car park operator in Europe, is confident of a growing demand for car parking. Not only is the UK's vehicle population rising, but local authorities are handing car parking operations over to private firms. Brokers SG Warburg Securities point out that British government policy has created an environment in which off-street car parking in certain locations could prove highly profitable for private car parking firms.
