Abstract: The efficiency and the safety of a continuous use of vitamin K for prophylaxis against the venous thromboembolism with idraparinux in various patients were examined. The results showed that though idraparinux helps in preventing recurrent thromboembolism, it also increases the risks of a major hemorrhage.
