Abstract
- A quantitative in vitro biopolymerization assay is designed by depositing the native chitosomal membranes from Saccharomyces cerevisiae onto solid silica microparticles in order to investigate the unknown physical mechanisms of chitin biosynthesis. The results have shown that the native biological membranes on particle supports are used as a new in vitro biopolymerization assay to study the function of transmembrane enzyme complexes.
