Changeover delay and concurrent-schedule performance in domestic hens

A study of changeover delay and concurrent schedule performance in domestic hens and analysis of the data in relation to the generalized matching law reveals very low values of sensitivity parameters for response and time data for programmed changeover delay. Other changeover-delay values are associated with higher values of sensitivity parameters, with the within-delay responding being unresponsive to differences in reinforcement-rates at all changeover delays. The sensitivity of post-changeover-delay responding to reinforcement-rate differences is greater than that of total responding.
