Abstract
- A modified HT-29 human tumor model shows enhanced prevention of in vivo tumor growth by the human angiogenin (Ang) antibody, the noncytotoxic neutralizing monoclonal (mAb), 26-2F. Another neutralizing mAb, 36u, along with the mAb 26-2F, interacts with a different Ang epitope to prevent tumors. Another Ang antagonist, actin also prevents the occurrence of tumors. Ang antagonists inhibit the formation of tumors corresponding to A549 long adenocarcinoma and HT-1018 fibrosarcoma, thereby having therapeutic implications for treating malignant tumors.
