Abstract
- Companies have had to gear themselves more to markets as competition has increased. Trends in marketing include globalization, relationship marketing and the usage of new technology. Staff involved in marketing need to understand their existing customers through direct contact with the main clients. They should also study their competitors. They should forecast future developments and combine their understanding of the present and possible changes to develop a strategic perspective for marketing.
