CmaE: A transferase shuttling aminoacyl groups between carrier protein domains in the coronamic acid biosynthetic pathway

CmaE is a commonly used transferase, which helps in moving the aminoacyl groups between various carrier protein domains in the coronamic acid biosynthetic pathway. The analysis shows that CmaE can also be used for generating chemical diversity within a nonribosomalpeptide (NRPS).
