Abstract

Credit unions can now enter the home-banking market with the help of new electronic funds transfer systems. Unlike in the 1980s, when the concept of home banking was met with consumer indifference, this additional service is now being welcomed by a market hungry for ways to obtain easier access to funds. Electronic devices that may be used in home-banking programs are telephones, personal computers, interactive television and personal, portable communicators.
