Abstract
- The Paris fashion shows failed to establish any consensus for the women's fashion industry to use as an example. Designers were showing outrageous clothing and using unusual models in an attempt to attract publicity. Some designers, such as Emanuel Ungaro and Karl Lagerfeld, showed some collections that were wearable. A description of featured collections by Vivienne Westwood, John Galliano, Christian Lacroix, Jean Paul Gaultier, Helmut Lang, Claude Montana, Sonia Rykiel and Hermes is presented.<br />PARIS -- Anyone coming to Paris looking for a message -- the way everyone used to -- has been left out in the cold.
