Abstract
- Descriptive and logistic regression analyses of the cross-sectional survey data concerning 3,072 participants of both genders in the South Carolina Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Project reveals that alcohol consumers are more likely to take part in health preventive measures such as weight loss and community physical activity programs. This shows that the partial protection these alcohol consumers attain from cardiovascular diseases is due to their physical activity levels which differ from those of nondrinkers.
