Abstract

A case study of a 62-year-old woman suffering from the syndrome of inappropriate secretion of antidiuretic hormone (SIADH), frequent cause of hyponatremia is presented. A computed tomographic (CT) scan of the thorax showed a mass in the lower lobe of the left lung that proved to be a small-cell carcinoma which when treated could correct the hyponatremia.
