Glucose regulation in young adults with very low birth weight

Tests on young adults with very low birth weight were performed to determine the association between small size at birth and impaired glucose regulation later in life. Young adults with a very low birth weight were found to have higher indexes of insulin resistance and glucose intolerance and higher blood pressure than those born at term.
