Abstract
- An attempt is made to understand the perception of and responses to unfair treatment in both academic and workplace contexts, focusing on self-regulatory systems that have psychological and physiological effects. The findings show that making salient stigmatized category membership activates prevention focus, which ultimately affects the concentration on the goal at hand.
