Abstract

Atwo year study of 302 students from two high schools in Indiana on their attitudes toward alcohol use indicated their rationality in assessing alcohol-related risk factors. Student responses were influenced by their inclination, fear of after effects and perceived control of the ills of alcohol-induced behavior. Their inclination toward alcohol was affected more by their changing perceptions of alcohol-related behavior, and to a lesser extent by their views on the risk factors involved in alcohol abuse.
