Abstract
- A rack system with 24 separately driven channels, made up of a driver-printed board assembly (PBA), back panel, connector and receiver-PBA, was used to determine the relationship between transmission speed and cross talk simultaneous switching noise in data signals. This rack structure permitted a three-fold increase in the line length on the panel by altering the slots of the driver and receiver cards. A new miniature high-density multicoaxial package connector and an error-free detector were employed to accurately measure transmission speeds at different receiver reference voltages. The maximum speed of the rack system was found to be four times more than that when a conventional multipin connector was used.
