Abstract

The interplay between calcium and lectin and chaperone activities of calreticulin (CRT) is studied. It is found that the affinity of CRT for monoglucosylated glycans measured in solution by equilibrium dialysis and fluorescence anisotropy is not affected by the absence of calcium.
