Molecular weight, polydispersity, and spectroscopic properties of aquatic humic substances

An understanding of the chemical and physical properties of whole water organic matter is central to the characterization of the role such humic substances play in the fate and reactivity of organic pollutants. Size exclusion chromatographic experiments are conducted on several fulvic acids, an industrial humic acid and various organic matter to determine their respective spectroscopic and physical properties.
