Abstract

Molecular dynamics simulations are conducted on a finite length (5,5) BNNT and (5,5) CNT, with a diameter of 6.9 angstrom and length of 14.2 angstrom to study the water permeability of boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs). Results reveal similar water transport properties in a (5,5) as found in a (6,6) carbon nanotube (CNT).
