Abstract

The examples of active first row transition metal catalysts for the dehydrogenation of the adduct ammonia-borane ([H.sub.3]NB[H.sub.3], AB), which is considered to be a promising chemical hydrogen storage material, are presented. The Ni-N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) system has displayed an unprecedented extent of dehydrogenation to a soluble cross-linked borazine structure.
