Abstract

A study that analyzes a photographer and filmmaker Paul Strand in Mexico from 1932 to 1934 during the social upheavals and military conflicts associated with the Mexican Revolution is illustrated. Through his photography he created a visual social history and provided a complex and at times stunning visual representations of those aspects of Mexico that he chose to photograph.
