Abstract
- A study examining how the Social Forums that took place in southern Africa between 2003 and 2005 reflect and facilitate the effective articulation of growing popular resistance to neo-liberalism, economic injustice and political repression is illustrated. The Social Forum model is used mainly by the southern African social movements to strengthen their own struggles, but the global Social Forum remains biased towards Western activists and agendas.
