Abstract
- The teaching of intonation is one of the more difficult aspects of English to incorporate into the EFL classroom and discourse intonation appeals equally to instructors and learners of the English language. The efforts of a language school in Japan to establish a balance between the aspects of teaching discourse intonation in a classroom and those that would aid in the better understanding of spoken English by students are discussed.
