Abstract
- The plutonic and metamorphic rocks of southern Omineca Belts in British Columbia exhibit structural tilts, which are revealed in paleomagnetic observations which provide structural maps of such regions. The paleomagnetic observations indicate that during the Eocene extension, the midcrustal rocks are assimilated into the footwalls of the faults which dip on the eastern and western sides. The dipping indicates a kinematic history for the formation of the rocks in the faults.
