The computed tomography (CT) scan of the abdomen demonstrated a partial herniation and strangulation of the cecum (Richter's hernia) between the internal and external oblique muscles through the linea semilunaris (Spigelian hernia). The challenging clinical diagnosis of Spigelian hernias and their surgical treatment options are discussed. Author Affiliation: Department of Surgery, University of Illinois at Chicago, 840 S.
