Abstract

Fabrication of very small magneto-optic devices is performed using high-coercivity planar-magnetization film magnets and bismuth-substituted yttrium iron garnet film techniques. High performance wave-guide magneto-optic isolators are used for the preparation of integrated optical circuits. The instrument used in this technique operates at 1.55 micrometer wavelength.
