Abstract

Photoreflectance and photoluminescence analyses facilitate the determination of the optical properties of CuInS2 and the comparison of the structural properties derived by energy dispersive X-ray microprobe analysis and X-ray diffraction. Transitions in the photoreflectance spectra are due to Wannier excitons. Field-induced change of the excitonic dielectric function explains these transition. Small inhomogeneities in the molecularity of the compound do not affect photoluminescence.
