Abstract
- A novel Josephson Inductive Kinetic Amplifier (IKA), which is more sensitive than the traditional dc superconducting quantum interference device, is developed to determine weak dc magnetic fields with low noise. IKA operation involves parametric amplifications subsequent to frequency shifting of dc input to a high frequency range. The IKA transfer function is derived from an analytical theory used to obtain the stability, frequency response and optical parameters of the system.
