Abstract
- Pork producers are urged to focus on asset management and best-cost production since they are the keys to survival in the highly-competitive pork production sector. Reports from Nebraska show that asset manager/best-cost producers who have management plans and focus on details lead manure shovelers by almost $30 per pig, which translates to approximately $50,000 annually for producers selling 1,800 hogs per year.
