Abstract
- A corporation was able to implement a restructuring of its organization because of a new financial policy brought about by the issuance of a leveraged special dividend. The restructuring resulted in a dramatic improvement in its performance, which may be credited to management's internal strategy that did not rely on outside intervention. The case shows the use of financial leverage in initiating organizational change.
