Abstract

The stability of the algorithm is influenced by errors in the estimation of the cancellation path transfer function for active noise and vibration control systems implementing the filtered-x LMS algorithm. Errors change the maximum stable value of convergence coefficient through an inverse proportional relationship. The algorithm is stable if the error does not exceed plus or minus 90 degrees.
