Abstract

U-Pb analysis of monazite, Ar estimation of various minerals and apatite fission track methods help determine the thermochronological data for Fosdick Mountains, located in the northern part of the Ford Ranges of Marie Byrd Land, West Antarctica. Thermochronological parameters help reveal a time-temperature path for the rocks of this mountain. A thermal model explains the cooling rates calculated for the metamorphic complex observed in the Fosdick Mountains.
