Abstract
- Agrobacterium tumefaciens incorporated with VirGN54D plasmids contain constitutive virulence (Vir) gene expressions and enhance the transfer properties of transferred DNA (T-DNA). Beta-glucuronidase (GUS) reporter gene used to determine post-transfer T-DNA expression reveals an increase in GUS-expressing foci. Wild-type VirG gene transcripts enhance T-DNA expression in tobacco but not in maize.
