Caterpillar's supply chain

Caterpillar Inc. has strengthened its logistics by linking the company's transportation and marketing department. The move was perceived as an important step in fostering a better sense of control of customer service between the factory and the dealer. Caterpillar's efforts at improving its logistics field comes at a time when the company's share of the Latin American market improved by 4% to 5% a year.
