Abstract
- The hospital care received by stroke victims play a large role in their long-term recovery. Such care, however, entails treating not only the side effects of a stroke but also preparing the patients for their discharge and reintegration into society. Thus, treatment will address depression, promote mobility via physical therapy and include a plan for rehabilitation besides managing the patient's dysphagia, bladder function, urine incontinence and bowel function.
