Abstract
- Factors which favor complex structure of solids are analyzed by theoretical considerations. Topological restrictions due to local coordination and stoichiometry are studied. Traditional orbital models and the angular overlap models are examined. Method of moments provides ideas concerning the factors influencing structural stability.
