Abstract
- Patent protection is necessary if a chemical invention is to be licensed to a company, which will provide the labor and financial support for development and marketing of the product. Thus, chemists should be educated on the process of securing and defending patent protection. The basic rules and regulations under the US patent protection law is presented.
