Abstract

The 1994 International Apparel Research Conference, sponsored by the American Apparel Manufacturers Association, focused on manufacturers' attempts to control their inventories at the store level. Levi Strauss North America has instituted a Quick Response system that is projected to help the company fulfill orders within 72 hours of receipt, increase capacity and improve accuracy on its deliveries to 95%.
