Abstract
- Aurora-A (AurA) has acted as a tumor suppressor by suppressing neuroblasts (NB) self-renewal and promoting neuronal differentiation during larval brain development in Drosophila. A novel pathway that involves AurA, atypical protein kinase C (aPKC), Numb and Notch is presented for the regulation of NB self-renewal versus neuronal differentiation during the asymmetric division of Drosophila larval NB.
