Abstract
- Both Consumer Price Indexes (CPIs) rose 0.3% in Sep 1994. The CPI for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) went to 149.4 without seasonal adjustment, a rise of 3.0% for the past 12 months. The CPI for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) went to 146.9 without seasonal adjustment, an increase of 3.0% for the past 12 months. The smallest 12 month gains in both the CPI-U and the CPI-W were for apparel and upkeep at -0.3% and -0.2% respectively. The largest 12 month gain in the CPI-U was 4.7% for medical care. The largest 12 month gain in the CPI-W was 4.7% for transportation.
