Abstract
- Animals can transmit deadly and benign infections to humans. Diagnosis and treatment methods for rabies, ehrlichiosis, cat-scratch disease, hantavirus, Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever and plague are provided as a guide for physicians who could encounter these diseases in their practices.<br />Getting close to nature has its drawbacks, including the risk of animal-borne infections.
