Abstract
- An oriented attachment-based assembly mechanism for formation of various types of dendritic silver nanostructures at room temperature is described. It was observed that the concentration of both AgNO3 and p-aminoazobenzene (PA) molecules strongly influence the formation and growth of the unique nanostructures and that an oriented attachment process at room temperature occurs between relatively large single-crystalline silver particles with a diameter of 20-60 nm, which may lead to new opportunities for design of unique nanostructures.
