Stereotype activation facilitates the information-processing ability of perceivers for stereotypical characteristics. The activation enables easier subject recognition of degenerated stereotypic traits, location of the traits in a complex stimulus array and effective memory representation. Subjects who exhibit stereotype activation show more effective processing of the traits.
