Positive selection of self- and alloreactive CD8(super +) cells in Tap-1 mutant mice

Study of allogeneic and anti-self class I repertoire in Tap-1 mice reveals the possibility of selecting positive self- and alloreactive CD8+ T cells when Tap proteins are non-existent. The mice demonstrated syngeneic anti-H-2Kb and -Db-specific responses in the presence of CD8+ T cells. CD8+ T cell repertoire is sensitive to positive and negative selection.
