Abstract

Oryza australlensis, a wild relative of the Asian cultivated rice O. sativa, has undergone new bursts of three Long Terminal Repeat-retrotranspoon families. Retrotransposons are the main components of eukaryotic genomes, representing up to 80% of some large plant genomes.
