Portfolio assessment: making it work for the first time

Abstract

Conventional methods of examination and tests to evaluate the ability of students is disadvantageous. The new methods developed to evaluate student performance are supported by teachers who consider that traditional methods of tests and examination are ineffective. The new methods involve the definition of mathematical portfolios.
