Abstract: Fasted lean and fed and fasted obese rats are demonstrated in vivo to have mitochondrial metabolism dysfunction. Lowered phosphocreatine (PCr)/inorganic phosphate (Pi) and enhanced ADP are evidence for obese rats at rest. After stimulation-alternated PCr, regulating and ADP metabolization rate are evident.
