Two simple techniques for broadcasting in deflection routing multichannel MANs

The multi-packet and Hamiltonian broadcast policies were studied and compared on the basis of throughput and delay to deliver the broadcast packet. A model was developed to evaluate the performance under saturated traffic conditions and simulation was used to evaluate the stochastic environment. Hamiltonian broadcast was found to outperform multi-packet broadcast. However, the multi-packet broadcast policy brings about lower delivery delays with a low offered load.
