Abstract

The creation of the financial management team of the National Performance Review and how its members worked together are discussed. The members of the team tasked with giving recommendations on how to reform the federal financial management included agency financial managers, program managers, private industry representatives and Congressional staffers, among others. Their report was submitted by the deadline and was hailed as interesting reading by Bill Clinton and Albert Gore, Jr. It contained 13 recommendations and 55 proposed actions.<br />An eyewitness account from a participant in the creation of the NPR report.
