Taking a step back: partnership in perspective

Government organizations have long been involved in partnerships. In the 1990s, however, different types of partnerships have evolved to reinvent public sector management in Canada. This diversity, which arose out of fiscal constraints and a desire to bring about public service reform at the same time, presents several challenges to government entities and their partners. Unfortunately, the public remains ignorant about such innovations in their government.
