Abstract: An analysis of infrared sounder radiancer to compare the efficiency of three cloud-cleaning approaches confirms that in chronic overcast settings, the UK Meteorological office cloud-clearing procedure can yield very good operational cloud marks. MR59 products provide the most desirable results, and are most versatile.
